VW Golf GTi 16v Anniversary
First registered in January 1997, this car has really won a place in our hearts. Affectionately nick-named 'Black Betty', the 'hot hatch' Golf GTi offers all you'd hope for - infact Ben, our MD, thought she was so good, he has bought her twice!
With all the usual GTi specification the Anniversary edition came equipped with:
- special chequered Recaro front sports seats and matching rear seats (with GTi logo)

A little more about the 20th Anniversary 16v Golf GTi...
Volkswagon produced just 1000 special edition 3 and 5-door GTi Anniversary models in 1996/7 as a celebration of 20 years of the fabulous 'hot hatch' Golf GTi.
Originally sold in just 6 colour schemes, only 600 x 8V models were produced, 250 x diesel models and 150 x 16v models.
Of the original 150 x 16v models, our checks show that only 15 were still on the road in 2021 - a further 62 showing as SORN - which means Black Betty is becoming a rare gem on the UK roads.
